Brand Guidelines Nobody Reads Are Guidelines Nobody Follows
The best guidelines are short, live where the work happens, and show examples instead of rules.
The 80-page problem
Most guidelines are written once, shared as a PDF, and never opened again. The people who need them, such as a freelancer, a regional manager, or a new hire, cannot find the answer in time.
We write guidelines as a living page with real examples, and keep the rules to the ones that actually matter.
Examples beat rules
A photo of the right and wrong use of a logo teaches faster than a paragraph. We include them for every rule, then remove rules that still need a paragraph to explain.
Where they live
In the same tool the team uses every day. If opening the guidelines takes more than a click, they will not be opened.
